SRISAILAM RIGHT BANK POWER HOUSE (7X110 MW)

The 770 MW (7 x 110 MW) Srisailam Hydro Electric Project is constructed across the River Krishna, which is one of the major rivers of Peninsular India and a Power Station on the right side of the Dam.  The project site “Sunni Penta” of Kurnool District is 220 KMs from Hyderabad.  The project was executed in two stages.  The first stage included construction of the dam, water conductor system, power house and installation of 4 nos. 110 MW Hydro Generating Equipment.  The second stage envisaged installation of 3 more Generating units of 110 MW capacity.
