  A. Power Plants Performance Highlights:

  1. APGENCO& APPDCL has achieved annual generation of 35017.3 MU during 2023-24.
  2. Thermal power stations (Dr NTTS & RTPP) have achieved annual generation of 22460.63 MU during 2023-24.
  3. Thermal power station (Dr NTTPS & RTPP) have achieved PLF 70.38% during 2023-24.
  4. Generation from Hydro power stations is 2006.38 MU during 2023-24 against target of 3220.5 MU.
  5. Generation from Solarplants at Polavaram(5.4MW) is 7.58 MU and Talaricheruvu (400 MW) is 773.43 MU FY 2023-24
  6. About 783.11 MU was backed down at APGENCO thermal stations as per the instructions of Load Dispatch Centre FY 2023-24.
  7. APGENCO Thermal power stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 77.60 MU on 25.01.2024 during FY 2023-24.
  8. Hydel stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 9.62 MU on 18.01.2024 during 2023-24.
  9. Solar generation has recorded highest daily generation of 2. 81 MU on 18.02.2023
  10. APGENCO has recorded the highest daily generation of 89.00 MU on 25.01.2024.
  11. Dr. NTTPS has achieved 69.25% PLF and Rayalaseema TPS achieved 71.78% PLF.
  12. Thermal stations have achieved 68.42%  Deemed PLF (Dr. NTTPS — 73.08% & RTPP- 77.19%).

  4. Thermal power station (Dr NTTPS & RTPP) have achieved PLF 68.41%.
  5. Generation from Hydro power stations is 4294.93 MU against target of 3331.98 MU.
  6. Generation from Solar plant (5.4MW) at Polavaram is 7.16 MU and from Talaricheruvu Solar plant (400 MW) is 721.72 MU.
  7. About 1102.34 MU was backed down at thermal stations as per the instructions of Load Dispatch Centre.
  8. APGENCO Thermal power stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 73.72 MU on 10.02.2022.
  9. Hydel stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 25.704 MU on 05.11.2022.

  3. Thermal power station (Dr NTTPS & RTPP) have achieved PLF 61.61%.
  4. Generation from Hydro power stations is 3741.90 MU against target of 3245.1 MU.
  5. Generation from Solar plant (5.4MW) at Polavaram is 7.168 MU and from Talaricheruvu Solar plant (400 MW) is 697.74 MU.
  6. About 3301.54 MU was backed down at thermal stations as per the instructions of Load Dispatch Centre.
  7. APGENCO Thermal power stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 69.456 MU on 08.04.2021.
  8. Hydel stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 26.532 MU on 11.10.2021.
  9. Solar generation has recorded highest daily generation of 2. 652 MU on 01.06.2021

PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2020-21

  • APGENCO has achieved annual generation of 14194.71 MU.
  • Thermal power stations (Dr NTTS & RTPP) have achieved annual generation of 10610.06 MU.
  • Thermal power station (Dr NTTPS & RTPP) have achieved a PLF of 35.52. The low generation & PLF were because of less demand in the grid due to COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
  • Generation from Hydro power stations is 3811.15 MU during 2020-21 against an APERC target of 3181.6 MU.
  • Generation from Solar plant (5.4MW) at Polavaram is 7.44 MU and from Solar plant at Talaricheruvu (400 MW) is 740.06 MU.
  • Annual Overhaul of all Thermal Units (7 units of Dr.NTTPS and 6 units of RTPP) was  carried out  in 2020-21  Loss of generation due to overhauls is about 1854.86 MU.
  • About 15724.02 MU was backed down at thermal stations as per the instructions of Load Dispatch Centre.
  • Thermal power stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 71.043 MU on 15.04.2020.
  • Hydel stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 26.700 MU on 19.08.2020.
  • Solar generation has recorded highest daily generation of 2. 706 MU on 26.01.2021.
  • APGENCO stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 88.857MU on16.03.2021.
  • Dr. NTTPS has achieved 54.04% PLF and Rayalaseema TPS achieved 15.76% PLF. The PLF is low because of less demand in the grid due to COVID -19 PANDEMIC
  • Thermal stations have achieved 88.16%  deemed PLF (Dr. NTTPS — 88.48% & RTPP- 87.82%).

  • APGENCO has achieved annual generation of 21597 MU.
  • Thermal power stations (Dr NTTPS & RTPP) have achieved annual generation of 17469.02 MU.
  • Thermal power stations (Dr NTTPS & RTPP) have achieved 58.48% (excluding RTPP IV is 66.76% PLF).
  • Generation from Hydro power stations is 3425.00 MU during 2019-20 against target of 3181.6 MU.
  • Generation from Solar plant (5.4 MW) at Polavaram is 8.07 MU and from Solar plant at Talaricheruvu (400 MW) is 694.98 MU.
  • Thermal power stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 69.086 MU on 17.04.2019
  • Hydel stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 25.407 MU on 30.10.2019
  • Solar generation has recorded highest daily generation of 2.903 MU on 03.05.2019

  • Overhaul of 9 Nos Thermal Units (2810 MW) got completed during 2015-16. Loss of generation due to overhauls is about 1204MU.
  • About 2316 MU was backed down at thermal stations as per the instructions of Load Dispatch Centre during 2015-16.
  • Thermal power stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 65.27 MU on 02.04.2015
  • Hydel stations have recorded the highest daily generation of 13.41 MU on 03.11.2015
  • Dr NTTPS has achieved 78% PLF and Rayalaseema TPS achieved 79% PLF.
  • Thermal stations have achieved 87.81%  deemed PLF (Dr NTTPS - 86.61% & RTPP - 89.82%).

  • APGENCO contribution to AP power grid is 21957.74 MU (54.3 %)
  • AP Power grid handled total annual energy of 40413.63 MU
  • Maximum Daily energy handled by AP power grid is 153.94 MU on 26.03.2015

 

PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2013-14

  • APGENCO has achieved annual generation of 41959 MU during 2013-14 (2nd highest).
  • APGENCO contribution to AP Power grid is 38813 MU (43.8%)
  • Thermal power stations have achieved annual generation of 34795 MU
  • APGENCO Thermal power stations achieved 78% PLF against All India Average PLF of 65.6%.
  • Generation from Hydro power stations is 7162 MU during 2013-14 against 3226 MU achieved during 2012-13 owing to good inflows into all major reservoirs.
  • Srisailam reservoir received about 820 TMCft during 2013-14 against 196 TMCft during 2012-13.
  • Solar PV unit established at Jurala by APGENCO has once again generated 1.7 MU during 2013-14 against guaranteed energy of 1.4 MU per annum.
