The Automatic Capacitance and Tan Delta Test Set available in training Institute is utilized for measurement of Tan Delta Value/dissipation factor and capacitance of the solid Insulation Equipment such as Current transformers , potential transformers (in Switchyards up to 400KV), Generator Transformer Bushings, windings etc.

        The capacitance and Tan Delta Values are measured periodically, generally yearly once or as suggested by the manufacturer. By knowing the above parameters or yearly change in parameters in advance, we can justify the Healthiness or quality of the insulation, thereby avoiding any further damage in system.
