The Energy Meter calibration Laboratory in the Training Institute, APGENCO is functioning since 2001. This Energy Meter Lab has been set up by APGENCO for calibration of Energy Meters of all APGENCO power stations periodically and is open to calibration of Energy Meters of 0.2s class or lower accuracy of Private parties on payment basis. The calibration services include calibration of Reference standard Energy Meters of class 0.1 and 0.2 accuracy

        The Energy Meter Lab, Training Institute, APGENCO has been accredited by NABL as per IS/ISO/IEC 17025:2017: “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories” in the field of Electro Technical Calibration since February 2015(Previous standard IS/ISO/IEC 17025:2005). This Laboratory is accredited for calibration of ABT/Trivector Energy Meters (working /Industrial standards) or ERS Meters ( i.e. PTS 2.3, PWS 2.3 genX, TPZ306 & Secure Aqa check etc ) up to 0.1 class for both Three phase Four wire and Three Phase Three wire meters ( Active & Reactive energy).

         Energy Meter lab stay committed to its customer’s requirement of accurate and reliable calibration results by maintaining high calibration standards with valid traceability and deliver this through skilled and dedicated manpower following national/international standards ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The Laboratory was recognized by APDISCOMs and APTRANSCO as third party laboratory for calibration of Energy Meters. This laboratory is the first of its kind NABL accredited laboratory of Govt. Power utilities in Andhra Pradesh (CC-2025).

The Laboratory is equipped with

1. Three Phase fully automatic calibration system PTS 400.3 (Modular three phase portable test system) of MTE make comprising PCS 400.3, PRS 400.3 (Portable Reference standard) traceable to National standards of 0.02 class accuracy and PPS 400.3 (Portable Power Source).
2. Three Phase fully automatic & computerized (CALegration Software) calibration system PTS 400.3 PLUS (Modular three phase portable test system) of MTE make comprising PRS 600.3 (Portable Reference standard/Power Quality Analyzer) traceable to National standards of 0.02 class accuracy, PPS 400.3 (Portable Power Source) & SMM400+(Digital Meter Evaluation System).
