The Energy Meter Testing Laboratory of the Training Institute, Dr.NTTPS APGENCO functioning since 2001. This Laboratory has Reference Standard Equipment like PTS400.3 (Modular three phase portable test system ) of MTE Switzerland make and TPZ303 (Three Phase Precision measuring instrument) of ZERA Germany make of 0.02 Class accuracy for testing of Secondary or industrial Standard Energy Meters of 0.1 class accuracy of lower.

This Laboratory was recognized by APDISCOM’s and APTRANSCO as third party laboratory for testing of Energy Meters. At present the Energy Meters of Private parties and Captive power plants are calibrated in our laboratory in the presence of authorized representatives of Private Parties, field engineers of MRT divisions of APTRANSCO & Field Engineers of M & P divisions of APDISCOMs as required by the concernd.
