APGENCO BAGS THE INDIA POWER AWARD-2008 FOR OVERALL UTILITY PERFORMANCE IN GENERATION SECTOR

The rapid growth of the Power and Energy sectors in India is being driven by notable achievements and measures that are taking place continually. The Council of Power Utilities have initiated a visible and credible platform - the INDIA POWER AWARDS - to recognize the achievements and contributions of organizations in these sectors.

Sri Ajay Jain, Managing Director received the Award at New Delhi  GoI on 3.11.2008. Explaining the factors contributing to the high performance, Sri Ajay Jain stated that it has been possible due to continuous encouragement given by Government of Andhra Pradesh and very good work turned out by the Engineers and O&M staff of APGENCO. Regular review meetings at Headquarters and Plant level have ensured good performance for the year.
