Completion Schedule: 29 months from date of LOI for all BOP packages.

Engineering Consultancy Services including site supervision:

Agreement was entered in to with M/s. Desein Pvt Ltd., on 31.01.2006 for providing Engineering Consultancy Services including site supervision and inspection services.

Raw Water Transport Package Details:

Order for material, erection, testing & commissioning of Raw water Intake Pump House, Intermediate Booster Pumping Station & break pressure Tank was placed on M/S. Kirloskar Brothers Ltd, Pune on 05.06.2008. Work almost completed along with taking of raw water pipe line. Raw water is pumped in to the reservoir at KTPP site successfully during October 2009 last week.

Major Achievements:

Unit was synchronized with grid with oil firing on 31.03.2010 at 06:08 Hrs. The Coal firing was immediately taken up and the load was raised up to 84 MW and the Unit was in service with this load for nearly about 1 hour.
Coal firing of the Unit was achieved with a load of 510 MW on 27.05.2010.
Trial operation carried out for 72 hrs from 20:00 hrs on 03.08.2010 to 20:00hrs on 06.08.2010 with an average load of more than 500 MW for first 36hrs and with partial load for remaining 36 hrs due to un favorable weather conditions.

Works Progress of B.T.G. Works by M/s BHEL

All works completed except for minor commissioning works.

Status of BOP Works Progress:

RAW WATER SYSTEM

·Erection & Commissioning of CW & ACW pumps are completed.

DM PLANT & PTP

DM water production is under process from two streams alternatively and all the petty works are being attended.

INSTRUMENT & SERVICE AIR SYSTEM

·Service Air and Instrument Air compressor are commissioned and kept in service.

FUEL OIL SYSTEM

·Fuel Oil system along with pump house and all tanks and accessories completed.

COAL HANDLING SYSTEM

·Dust suppression and Extraction system commissioning under progress.

·Stacker Reclaimer commissioning under progress.

·3,13,000 MT of coal stocked at site.

ASH HANDLING SYSTEM

·Bottom ash & fly ash evacuation system kept in service. Troubles in Transport Air Compressors occurred and were attended on top priority and system kept in service.

TRANSFORMER YARD

·All Gen. Transformer limbs, Station Transformers, UTs, UATs and bus ducts completed and connected to 400kv switch yard.

·ST-1&2 commissioned and charged.

400 KV SWITCH YARD

·400 kv switch yard construction completed in all aspects and charged

C&I:

·Commissioning of annunciation system on UCP/ECP under progress.

All works completed on BTG side and all PLCs in BOP package are commissioned and kept in service.
