
AMRP Lift Irrigation scheme

Based at : Puttangadi in Nalgonda district. Objective : To provide irrigation facilities to about 1,09,250 Hectors (2.7 lakh acres) of land in Nalgonda district and to provide drinking water to 212 flouride affected villages, enroute and to another 220 upward villages under Netherland aided Project (NAP-III) and 84 habitations in Choutuppal and Pocham pally areas.

APGENCO's Major component of the scheme : Installation 4 Nos. of pumps of 25000 HP (18 MW) capacity, to lift water by each pump by about 100 meters height.

The project is completed well before the stipulated date and costs involved are reduced by 37.5%. The 1st , 2nd, 3rd, 4th Pumps were commissioned on 01-09-2001, 05-09-2002, 29-12-2002 & 16-03-2003.
